Youth Group
The Youth Group is for pre-teens and teenagers (aged 10–17 years) who are Deaf or have a hearing impairment. It has been set up to help teens with a hearing loss meet others like them, develop their self-esteem and confidence, give them leadership opportunities and provide them with role models.
They get together every 6 weeks to do some fun, and sometimes challenging, activities e.g.
- Kayaking
- Music workshops
- Archery
- Blo-karting
- Art
The Youth Group is a joint venture between APODC and The Hearing House and is run through Youthtown.
